Custom veneers for Cumberland patients, ten minutes west on US-40 / Washington Street.
Meet Dr. Louis Abukhalaf

Dr. Abukhalaf will plan your case and place your veneers personally. His DDS is from Marquette, where he graduated magna cum laude. His undergraduate degree is summa cum laude from Loyola Chicago in chemistry and biochemistry. The credential that matters most for your veneers, though, is his postgraduate training at the Kois Center in Seattle, one of the country's leading institutes for the science of bite, smile design, and predictable cosmetic results.
He has been practicing in Indianapolis and sees patients from Cumberland, Warren Park, Irvington, and across the east side. He approaches veneers as a long-term partnership: the goal is a result that still looks right ten years later.
How We Plan and Place Veneers
Your first visit is a planning conversation. We take photographs of your smile from multiple angles, do a digital scan of your teeth (no impression putty), and capture a short video of how your smile moves when you talk. Using Digital Smile Design software, we build a preview of how your veneers will look on your face. You see this before any tooth is touched. If you want them slightly longer, slightly less translucent, or a different shape, we change the design at the planning stage, not after the porcelain is made.
Preparation is conservative. For most patients in 46229, that means removing a fraction of a millimeter of enamel, sometimes none at all. The less we remove, the stronger your underlying teeth stay. While the porcelain is being made in the lab, you wear temporaries that approximate the final look. You bring them home, see them in your bathroom mirror, and tell us if anything needs to change before we move to final placement.
Final bonding takes place in one visit. You see the try-in version under natural light, approve the shade and shape, and we bond them with cosmetic-grade adhesive. Polish, bite check, and you walk out with the smile you signed off on at the planning visit.
Getting Here from Cumberland (US-40 / Washington Street)
Cumberland sits on the historic National Road, which becomes Washington Street as it heads west into Indianapolis. From most of 46229 — including the Cumberland Heritage area and the neighborhoods around the Pennsy Trail — you reach our office by heading west on Washington Street for about ten minutes. We are at 115 N Shortridge Road, Suite 200, on the north side of Washington at the Shortridge intersection.
Parking is in the building lot, not on the street. If you prefer a non-rush-hour appointment, mornings before 9:00 AM or after 1:00 PM tend to be the fastest commute from Cumberland.
Veneers Pricing and Payment Options
We provide a written, itemized estimate at the planning visit. That number is the price. Veneer costs depend on how many teeth are being treated, whether porcelain or composite, and what (if any) preparatory work makes sense first. We don't quote ranges over the phone because the right answer for your case depends on what we see at the planning visit.
If you have PPO dental insurance, we submit the claim. Most plans classify veneers as cosmetic and contribute little, but we tell you that up front. If you are uninsured, our Membership Discount Plan covers preventive care at a flat annual fee and discounts cosmetic work. OrthoFi financing splits veneer treatment into fixed monthly payments at terms that fit most budgets.

Veneers FAQs
How many veneers will I need?
A single chipped front tooth needs one. If you want to change the appearance of your full smile, the common configuration is six veneers across the upper front teeth. Some patients add lower veneers for symmetry. We map this out for you at the planning visit using the digital preview.
Will veneers look fake?
Not if they're planned well. The fake look comes from veneers that are too white relative to the rest of your face, too uniform in shape, or too opaque. Our planning process is built specifically to avoid this. The try-in step is where you tell us if anything looks off, and we adjust before final bonding.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers commonly last 10 to 15 years and often longer. The bond at the margin and the underlying tooth structure are what eventually fail, not the porcelain itself. A night guard, if you grind, extends the lifespan substantially.
Can I get veneers if I grind my teeth?
Yes, with a night guard included as part of the case. Untreated grinding will fracture veneers over time. We make a custom night guard for you during the same treatment window so your investment is protected from the first night after bonding.
