Meet Dr. Louis Abukhalaf

Dr. Louis Abukhalaf leads dental care at SmileCentric East. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry and biochemistry, summa cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago, and his dental degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He then pursued advanced postgraduate training at two highly respected programs: the Misch Implant Institute, which focuses on implant surgery and placement, and the Kois Center, a program dedicated to advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

His clinical specialties are cosmetic and implant dentistry, but his office handles the full spectrum of dental care for adults and children. Patients from Irvington to Cumberland come to Dr. Abukhalaf for everything from routine cleanings to complete smile makeovers and full arch implant restorations.

One of the most common cases Dr. Abukhalaf sees from the east Indianapolis area involves patients who have been managing with ill-fitting dentures for years — often decades — before finally exploring implant-supported alternatives. A Warren Park patient in her early sixties came in frustrated with her conventional dentures, which had shifted and caused persistent discomfort. Dr. Abukhalaf developed a full arch restoration plan using implant-supported prosthetics, placing the implants with the Yomi robotic system for precise positioning and minimal recovery time.
